Language Policy
The Tempus Pontem: Azerbaijan Journal of Archaeology and Anthropology (TP: AJAA) accepts submissions written exclusively in English. Authors are required to ensure that their manuscripts are clear, precise, and written in a scholarly style.
Standard of English: Contributions must be written in clear, grammatical, and academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts edited by a professional language service or a fluent speaker of academic English before submission.
Consistency: Spelling should follow British English conventions (e.g., archaeology, organisation, artefact). Authors are asked to apply spelling, punctuation, and stylistic choices consistently throughout the text.
Terminology: Technical terms in archaeology and anthropology should be used consistently. Where relevant, local or indigenous terminology may be introduced but must be accompanied by a clear explanation or translation in English.
Abstracts and Keywords: All submissions must include an abstract (150–250 words) and 4–6 keywords in English.
Quotations and Sources: Quotations from non-English sources must be provided in the original language and English translation. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of both.
Editorial Rights: The editorial board reserves the right to request linguistic revisions if a manuscript does not meet the required standard of clarity and readability.
