Reviewer Guideline
Tempus Pontem: Azerbaijan Journal of Archaeology and Anthropology (TP: AJAA) is committed to maintaining high academic and ethical standards. Peer review is an essential part of our editorial process. We are grateful to our reviewers for their expertise and dedication.
Purpose of Review
The review process ensures that published articles meet scientific, methodological, and ethical standards. Reviewers are expected to evaluate submissions fairly, objectively, and confidentially.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts and review details must be treated as confidential. Reviewers must not share or discuss content with others or use any part of the manuscript before publication.
Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers are asked to assess:
- Originality and significance of the research
- Clarity and coherence of the argument
- Methodological soundness
- Accuracy of data and interpretation
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Quality of references and sources
Review Format
Reviewers should provide constructive comments in a structured format, including:
- General comments
- Major issues
- Minor issues
- Recommendation (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Reject)
Timeliness
Reviews should be completed within 2–3 weeks. If you are unable to review or need an extension, please notify the editorial office as soon as possible.
Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect their impartiality (e.g., personal, academic, or financial relationships with the authors).
Anonymity
